St. Charles Mission School

Shoódachii itchik daalóm -(Hello it's good you came)

Welcome to St. Charles Mission School. St. Charles is located in Pryor, Montana, 35 miles south of Billings. Our school is in a rural community and embraces the gospel teachings of Jesus Christ, along with the Crow language and traditions.

SCMS serves students in grades Preschool through 8th grade, with an approximate enrollment of 120. Our students are not only from the local area; many are bussed from Billings each day. Our lunchroom provides delicious hot meals with a full salad bar daily. Special classes include: Catholic Religion, Counseling, Art, Music, Library, Physical Education, and Crow Studies. Our Father, Randolph Graczyk, conducts Mass on Friday mornings throughout the year for students and staff, and is open to the community. We are fortunate to have two Sisters on campus as well, Sister Mary Lou and Sister Sharon. We take a lot of pride at SCMS in helping our community and each other by providing essential needs and performing tasks that go above and beyond expectations. We are a united team to ensure the success and safety of our students.

As principal of SCMS, I believe the best education is one that is started at home and continues in school. Interactive and meaningful lessons are delivered by our teachers to create a fun and exploratory learning environment for students. We have teachers who will be providing stronger interventions for beginning readers, as well as an interventionist who will assist in math fact fluency this upcoming school year.

Changes are occurring to adapt to the needs of our students, and to what we are experiencing in education as a nation. We are dedicating time to perfect the reopening of our schools and hope to see our students and families soon!

In time we wish to welcome you to visit our school!
